The Adult Services Dept. of the Livonia Public Library is staffed by Librarians and Library Aides. Librarians are required to be state certified and hold a Master's Degree in Information and Library Science. The librarians and aides staff the browsing and reference desks to help you find what you're looking for so don't hesitate to ask for their assistance. If you can't make it into the library, send your question via email or telephone.
Both Civic Center and Noble libraries offer book discussion groups for adults.
If you want to keep up on the latest best selling books, check out our catalog for links to the New York Times Best Sellers List each week. Click on the title of the book to see if we own it. You can then get on the waiting list for the book by clicking on "request title".
If you're looking for a little extra help where surfing the internet is concerned or you know someone who is new to the internet, check into our internet classes. We offer both basic and intermediate classes at Civic Center Library. For those who have never used a mouse before, go to the New User Tutorial. You'll find hands on instructions on how to use the mouse properly and a few other tips for basic computer use.
There's always something happening at the library. Check our Calendar of Events for upcoming activities. Also keep on top of what's going on by subscribing to our monthly email newsletter using the form to the right.
