STREETCARS RAN ON ELECTRICITY: And so do libraries. IT'S EASY TO WRAP TOO: Have someone who is hard to buy for? Give the holiday gift that gives twice! The Livonia Public Library Gift and Memorial program lets you give to the library, and give to someone special the honor of a place on the shelf. You can donate money to purchase books or other items, and can let us know if you want that item for a particular branch, on a particular subject, or even a specific title. You and the recipient will receive an acknowledgement, and a bookplate will mark your generosity for all to see! Think of the possibilities: a book of their most loved poems to mark a couple’s first, tenth or fiftieth holiday together, or maybe a CD with their favorite song on it. Perhaps a cookbook of holiday favorites or entertaining ideas for the hostess that always has the warmest greetings and merriest gatherings. Maybe a book or video on fishing or car repairs so Dad can share his hobby with everyone when he has enough ties and slippers. This can be a great last minute gift! For more information, please visit any branch or our homepage at http://livonia.lib.mi.us/donations for a printable donation form.
