Government Documents
Civic Center Library participates in the Federal Government Depository program. As a depository library, we receive about 17% of all Federal government documents produced.

Book Club Kits
Civic Center Library has a collection of books packaged specifically for book clubs. Each kit contains 4-5 copies of the book plus a discussion guide. See the list of titles and to check availablility of our Book Club Kits here.

Livonia Lore
Civic Center Library is building Livonia history and Livonia images collection for historic and genealogical research. A collection of transcribed newspaper articles obtained from The Livonian and Livonia Observer provide interesting historical and informative stories about Livonia. Photographs of "old Livonia" are also being sought. Pictures of stores, churches, schools, events and other images of the past will be copied and indexed and the original will be returned to the owner. High School Yearbooks
Civic Center Library maintains a collection of yearbooks from Livonia High Schools.
Bentley High School: 1953-57, 1959-60, 1962-82, 1985.
Churchill High School: 1969-73, 1975-78, 1980-89, 1991, 1994-present.
Clarenceville: 1983, 1997-present
Franklin High School: 1963-1982, 1987-88, 1997, 1999-present.
Stevenson High School: 1967, 1969, 1971-77, 1979-88, 1995, 1997-present.

Peace Collection
The nonprofit organization Citizens for Peace have donated a large number of books to Civic Center Library that center around the topic of peace. The collection includes materials for youths and adults that document efforts for nonviolent social change and nonviolent conflict resolution between people and nations. Michigan Collection
Books by Michigan authors or about Michigan are designated as part of our "Michigan collection" at Civic Center Library. A book plate is placed in the front cover of Michigan Collection books, but they are not kept separate from the general collection. A list of Michigan Collection books is available at the Reference Desk.
